Salsa Guerrilleros on CD

Two years after their last production "Kula Sack", Los Dos y Compañeros present their 5th and newest CD "Salsa Guerilleros" in 2012. With this new project these musical freedom fighters once again make you dance and smile. The bands' musical goals have risen and it is clearly audible. Their sound ranges from covered Son-classics like Chan Chan ("Mia hom an Seier") and tight Timba ("Vattadoch"), to modern and original Pop-songs like "Nackada". Their newest music video "Nackada" has been released on YouTube and together with "Zöich dei Gwand oh" has been successfully published as a single. Cuban singer, Luis Frank Arias, veteran of the Buena Vista Social Club's younger generation, guest stars once again on this CD. This Cuban-Bavarian cooperation is unique in Latin music with lyrics utilizing a mixture of Spanish and German. Arias sings a variety of songs with Los Dos's dynamic lead singer Don Michon. One track, a solo ("Cuca Lambé"), is sung completely in Spanish (an exception!). All other Los Dos y Compañeros songs are sung - as usual - in Bavarian dialect. "Salsa Guerilleros" was mixed in the legendary Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg, Germany, where stars like Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder have recorded. None other than Johannes Wohlleben is responsible for the sound, who in Europe, the USA and Cuba is regarded as the sound engineer for Latin-productions. With "Salsa Guerilleros", Los Dos y Compañeros accomplish the fusion of authentic Latin- American music with Bavarian lyrics, charm and humor. These qualities, mixed with a little modern pop and performed at a high musical level is how Los Dos y Compañeros continually play themselves into the hearts of their audience.
